Get the Look: Kendall & Kylie

 Kylie

 Kendall

This is by far my favorite outfit post! I loved shooting these Kendall and Kylie looks! Although they are sisters, Kendall and Kylie each have their own distinctive style. Both looks represent a grunge look but each look is done differently. Kylie tends to dress more comfy, laid-back, and somewhat messy. Kendall on the other hand does the grunge look in a more put together and sophisticated way ("girly grunge" if you will). My favorite look would definitely have to be Kendall's because it's more of my style but Kylie's look sure is comfy and great for those summer nights! Which is your favorite?

Get The Look: Ariana Grande

Creating an Ariana Grande inspired look was so much fun! Taking pictures was even better (in case you couldn't tell haha). Ariana Grande's style is so adorable, preppy, and girly which is a little out of my comfort zone because you wouldn't see me wearing this out in public. I totally understand why she wears outfits like these all the time because they're so much fun to wear. I mainly based my recreation off of the picture above. The top I choose definitly reminds me of the types of shirts she likes to wear. Of course I had to wear a short skater skirt (say that five times) and what would be an Ariana Grande look without high knee socks? Then, to top it off, I wore this bag that is the absolute closest I can get to the Chanel bags she's always wearing and a high ponytail is one of her signature hairstyles.

Black & White

I've been wanting to post for so long but my summer wardrobe was lacking and when I finally went to the mall, I went on vacation and didn't have a chance to upload! I've bought some awesome pieces that I can't wait to share in ootds on here! It's been a bit cloudy and rainy here so I opted for dark colors to fit the mood and added some color with my sunglasses when the sun finally started to peek through the clouds.

Summer Vibes

My summer wardrobe usually consists of just printed tank tops and jean shorts but there's something in the air this year that has me inspired. There's something that's making me want to go beyond my normal summer attire and this right here is the beginning to a summer full of adorable little outfits. I love how simple yet stylish this outfit is and I plan to wear more outfits like these all summer so stay tuned!

Summer Must Haves

Bandeaus

Bandeaus are perfect for layering under loose tank tops. The best part about bandeaus is that they are comfortable and they can add texture, prints, and color to any outfit!

Sunglasses
Of course, what would be summer without sunglasses! Usually, there aren't many different, unique styles of sunglasses but this year there are so many so take advantage of that!

Layered Jewelry
Layered jewerly is the best accessory for the summer because it's light and effortless but it definitly adds some character to your relaxed summer outfit.

Distressed Denim
It's not even summer yet but I'm already living in the perfect denim shorts that I've purchased. Distressed denim is perfect for summer because you can just throw on a plain white tee and a dainty necklace and it looks so chic!

Rompers
I've always been obssessed with rompers but it's always hard for me to find ones that fit right because I'm so petite but when I do, I can't let the opportunity slip away! Rompers are perfect for the summer because they require no effort. You just throw one on and you're all set! You don't have to worry about pairing a top with shorts or vice versa.

Feminism

Today's outfit made me feel so girly and feminine. I got these pants from Zara a few weeks ago and I've been struggling to find the right top to pair with them but I recently bought this top and it goes so well together! The top has so much detail and is super adorable and I thought the soft pink pants added to the girliness of the top. Even though the top hides the small silver zipper and minor quilting on the side of the pants, I love these two pieces together.

AVOID THE WORLD'S BIGGEST PROBLEM!

For me, there is NOTHING worse than trying to go through all of the clothes in my closet and having the hardest time finding what to wear. In order to avoid this problem, you must take proper precautions starting when you go shopping. Here are my tips for shopping that will help you avoid the "I have nothing to wear!" scenario.

Don't Buy for the Price
Things are getting pricy nowadays so whenever we see something that's on sale we are quick to buy it. DON'T DO THIS. If it's something you really love and it happens to be a great price then that's perfectly okay but ask yourself this, "Do I love this enough to buy it if it were regular price?" If the answer is no then save yourself the money. Not only are you saving yourself money but you're preventing yourself from filling you closet with items you don't really care for which brings me to my next point...

Buy Quality Items
This doesn't necessarily mean good quality fabric or material. It means items that you LOVE, items you are OBSSESSED with, items that you can wear over and over and not get tired of it. These items may be very hard to find and when you do, of course they are more than what we are willing to pay. However, it's worth the money (if you can afford it). It's better to fill your closet with a few amazing pieces than to have an entire closet full of things that are average and that you will get sick of in a week. By buying "quality" items, you're less likely to feel like you have nothing to wear because you have clothes that you love!

Wear in Moderation
Now that you've gone shopping and have found quality pieces, don't wear them all right away. I know it's very tempting but if you wear it all in a week, you'll feel like you have nothing to wear because you wore everything you just bought. Then, you'll feel the urge to go shopping even though you just broke the bank. Say you bought five items, wear one or two items a week. It'll be about two to three weeks before you feel like you have nothing to wear which is a lot better than feeling that way everyday!

These are a few tips that have helped me avoid feeling like I have nothing to wear all the time. But, of course, sometimes this is going to happen and I will have another post about what to do when you have nothing to wear soon!
